While primarily abstracted shapes with color, this is the latest in a group of larger pieces in water media and collage. Shrub is done on a collage of brown packing paper and then gessoed and collaged. The aim of this piece is to show the myriad texture in the bushes out my studio window. In Texas the most foliage does in the winter is turn brown, rarely fall off the bush. I use watercolor and acrylic to work in the variegated colors of the foliage.
